Information We Collect
We collect only the data necessary to provide and improve our services:

- Profile Data: Username, preferences, and in-app settings.

🎙️ Voice Note & Audio Data Protection
Your voice is uniquely personal. VoiceBit treats all voice recordings and audio data with the highest level of care and protection. The following commitments apply specifically to your voice notes and audio content:
- End-to-End Encryption: All voice recordings are encrypted end-to-end during transmission and at rest using AES-256 encryption. No one — including VoiceBit employees — can listen to your private voice notes without your explicit permission.
- No Voice Profiling: We do not use your voice recordings to build voice profiles, biometric identifiers, or voice fingerprints. Your audio is never used to identify you by voice characteristics.
- No Third-Party Audio Access: Your voice recordings are never sold, licensed, or shared with third-party advertisers, data brokers, or AI training services. Audio data is not used to train any machine learning models without your explicit, informed, opt-in consent.
- Private by Default: All voice notes are set to private by default. You have full control over who can access, listen to, or share your recordings. Sharing is always an explicit action you initiate.
- Microphone Access: VoiceBit only accesses your device microphone when you actively initiate a recording within the app. We never record audio in the background.
- Deletion is Permanent: When you delete a voice note, it is permanently and irreversibly removed from our servers within 30 days. Deleted recordings cannot be recovered by VoiceBit or any third party.
- Secure Cloud Storage: Voice recordings stored in the cloud are held in isolated, access-controlled storage environments. Access logs are maintained and audited regularly.
- Transcription Opt-In Only: If VoiceBit offers voice-to-text transcription features, these are strictly opt-in. Transcription data is treated with the same protections as the original audio recording.
🔒 Security & Processing
All audio and video data are processed using industry-standard encryption (AES-256) both in transit and at rest. Voice recordings are only used for user-intended synchronization and are never sold to third parties.
🎛️ User Control
Users retain full ownership of their multimedia content. You may delete your voice data at any time through the in-app settings, which will permanently purge the files from our secure servers.
How We Use Your Information
We use your data only for the following lawful purposes:
- To create and manage your account
- To deliver, synchronize, and store your voice notes and multimedia content
- To enable sharing and collaboration features you explicitly activate

Data Sharing & Third Parties

- Service Providers: Trusted infrastructure partners (e.g., cloud hosting) who process data strictly on our behalf under binding data processing agreements. They have no right to use your data for their own purposes.

Voice recordings are never shared with third parties under any commercial arrangement.

- Active account data is retained while your account remains open.
- Voice recordings and multimedia content you delete are permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
- Upon account deletion, all personal data and voice content is permanently erased within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
- Anonymized, aggregated usage statistics may be retained indefinitely as they cannot be linked back to you.

You have full control over your data. Under applicable data protection laws, you have the right to:
